I’ve decided that we need to start a new organization in this country to fight a growing problem in the U.S. This problem has happened for many years and is one that affects nearly everyone in the United States at some point during their lives.
What problem am I talking about? Is it clean water, social justice, civil rights, food, shelter, clothing? No my friends, this problem is clam-shell plastic packaging. The people against the unethical treatment of hands or PATUTOH for short (pronounced pah-toot-oh) shall rise up against hard plastic packaging! Our hands refuse to be abused any more by this impossible to open stuff.
In all seriousness, I can’t stand that type of packaging. If you want to torture someone you don’t need to waterboard them or anything drastic like that. Merely stick them in a room and put their food and water in little packets inside of hard clasmshell plastic packaging. Do not provide them with scissors. Torture ensues.
Is there not some way we can tie a security lock or something into the packaging such that when they remove it at the register you can easily open the package? I’m assuming one reason manufacturers like this style of packaging is that it can be hooked onto display shelves really easily, but also because it discourages shoplifting somewhat. Can you imagine trying to *sneakily* break into hard plastic packaging to steal something without anyone noticing?
PATUTOH has many problems that it needs to address, the next one: manual labor - it damages our hands as well, and that has to be unethical somehow!
