The Fate of Tyrlon and other Dubious Things

My backyard is a bit interesting because it is fairly steeply sloped but also has a good number of trees at the bottom of it.  Here is what it looked like this morning before work:

As you can see it was pretty beautiful but it would have been even better with some birds flying around in the snow.  To attract the birds though I probably need to actually get a bird feeder.

In my backyard there are a few spots where the birds like, especially one that has an old piece of farm machinery (really need to clean that up at some point!) and it gathers water so the birds like to land on it to get a drink. There is also a small pond on the property that they like to hang out in. If i really want to attract them though I need to get a squirrel-proof bird feeder so that they will feel more safe.

I checked out the BirdFeeders.Com website and they have a wide variety of very stylish bird feeders.  My favorite one is pictured above.  I like the way the spiral designs inter-twine which effectively stops squirrels but it also looks really cool.  I figure if I get this and hang it from one of the trees that you can see in the picture of my yards above the birds should be able to find it and then i’ll have even nicer scenery to watch out my window!
