Still survivin’

Just a quick note, have been swamped with work today so likely won’t be able to write another post today.  Finished the Seven Samurai the other night (one of my Netflix rentals) and it was surprisingly good considering I don’t usually like older movies (this one is from the 1950s and is in Japanese with subtitles).  There obviously aren’t any flashy effects or camera tricks, but having a good simple story always works well.  The movie is rather long (3.5 hours) and even has an intermission but at the time it was one of the most expensive and epic films ever made.

I encourage you to give it a try if you like ye olde martial arts movies.
