Cheap Prescription Eyeglasses

August 13th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Over the years i’ve noticed that I am starting to get more headaches when sitting in front of a computer for long hours or reading a lot.  I suspect that my eye sight is starting to deteriorate some, mainly my close in vision due to starting at large LCD screens for too many hours to count!

Since I will eventually need eyeglasses i’ve checked out a few places online that sell prescription eyeglasses and there are some that are a whole lot cheaper than buying from your local optometrist!  One example which was recommended by The Clark Howard Show, is to buy eyeglasses from ZenniOptical.Com!  They have prescription eyeglasses starting at only $8 and almost all of their eyeglasses can be purchased for less than $30.  They even carry stylish upgrades such as photochromic lenses which allow for your eyeglasses to darken when you get outside into the daylight and then lighten once you are back indoors (automatic sunglasses!).

Basically, if you are looking for eyeglasses why pay $300 at your optometrist (who is making good profit off of that I assure you) when you can order your eyeglasses online.  One of the best parts is that shipping is only $4.95 for your eyeglass orders so you won’t even pay much to get it to your doorstep!  In many ways I find ordering things online to be a lot better than waiting in line somewhere for a prescription to be filled.  Yes you might not get the item for a day or two longer but it just shows up without you having to waste any of your valuable time waiting on it.
