Age of Conan Early Access

May 19th, 2008 · No Comments

Early Access started late (thanks for being Funcom, Funcom!) so we didn’t actually get to start at 1 pm, instead it ended up being 5 pm.

That being said once the servers did come up, the poor patcher was hosed and having issues so another 20 minutes later we were finally able to get in.  The game was almost night and day from the open beta client, they made a huge number of improvements and polish in the past week or two.

There was even some new intro in-game cinematics right as you start on Tortage and some other quests that had changed and improved in story telling quality.  I was able to play Saturday night and then most of the afternoon on Sunday (downtime on Sunday from 2-5 pm for another patch).

Currently my Dark Templar is sitting at level 19 and i’m having a ton of fun.  The graphics are amazing even though I can’t run everything at max (yet).
