Automatic Renewals are Bad!

May 13th, 2008 · No Comments

You know those renewals you get when you sign up for something a long time ago and think you are just buying a 1-year subscription to it?  Then, you look at your credit card statement and see that they sneakily signed you up for auto-renewal.  Bah!

I signed up for a Creator’s Club subscription for XNA which is a programming language used for making games for the Xbox 360 and PC.  The problem is I called to cancel it like a month ago and then just today I get a notice that they’ve charged my card for the bill!  Guess i’ll be calling them again later this morning as they operate on Pacific Time and aren’t awake yet!
