The Fate of Tyrlon and other Dubious Things

Dockers and NBC are currently holding a contest for people to make Dockers commercials and then the winning entry will be shown during the Tonight Show with Jay Leno!

There are already a few entries on the Dockers contest page that make use of the provided music and stock visuals. Others have tried to do their own commercials without using the provided music/footage, but if you do that you are not allowed to use any music. I think Dockers wants to make sure that they have the music rights to any commercials submitted so that they can add music later or attach their own music that they already have the rights to air.

If you want to participate be sure to click on the link above and hop on over to submit your own contest video. Dockers will provide you with some stock footage of San Francisco as well as a track of music that you are allowed to use. You can then create your own video and upload it to the website by May 29th. Hopefully one of you will win!

So far I actually like the commercials that are produced by Dockers the best as they are the most professional and use the music effectively. I feel like capturing the emotion of the music through the visuals is important. Watching the ad below I actually felt relaxed, like wearing a good pair of pants should be.
