The Fate of Tyrlon and other Dubious Things

I was asked to look at this really neat contest that Renuzit is holding for a $20,000 Home Make-Over with Tanya Memme of A&E fame. There is a semi-finalist gallery on Renuzit’s Tri Scents website where you can view the videos and stories of the semi-finalists of why their house needs a makeover and vote once a day until June 7th to determine who will win the home makeover.  If that finalist wins they will get to have Tanya Memme come out and make-over their home with a $20,000 budget!

My favorite out of the bunch was the one with the 3 year old doing voice over in the form of poetry about how much a home makeover and Tri Scents would help their family. I think it was just really cute and I love the way they have their own Tri Scents with the new triplets in the house! I’ve seen the havoc that one diaper can generate, so I can only imagine having 3 at a time to deal with! You’d definitely need some heavy duty air freshening action to stop that problem! Renuzit Tri Scents themselves are a really neat product.  The way it works is that you have a plug in dispenser and then cartridges to insert into the dispenser.  Each cartridge contains three different scents and the dispenser will vary between the scents.  This will keep the room smelling fresh and different, as when you use the same scent for a long time in the same room it starts to blend into the background.  Each cartridge also lasts up to 60 days and refills are only $5.  This is much more cost affordable than other air fresheners that only last a week and cost almost $2 just for that short duration!  You can also control the intensity of the scent release so that you can make the room lightly smell of the scent or increase the intensity for those tough smells such as the triplets’ diapers mentioned above!
