The Fate of Tyrlon and other Dubious Things

One of my good friends collects swords and other smaller items such as daggers and katanas. He has them around his house, usually up on the wall hanging in a display or on small tables in his family room.

Sometimes I wonder if the swords are meant to be intimidating, meant to be a weapon close at hand in case of the zombie invasion, or are just for decorative purposes.

Even with blunted edges the swords are plenty dangerous, but luckily I’ve never had one used against me.

Now, if you’ve read this far down the post, you are probably wanting me to mention that wicked sword in the picture to the left. It is one that I plan to use with my pirate costume this halloween.

What does this sword have to do with a pirate you say? Why, nothing at all of course. But tell me truthfully, if you see a pirate walk in and that awesome Merlin sword is strapped at his side, are you gonna give him lip? Are you?

Exactly.
