The Fate of Tyrlon and other Dubious Things

I mentioned earlier in the day that I had let my car get extremely filthy and it looked like I had gone off-roading at some point in the recent past. I decided to fix that on the way home and gave her a quick spin through the automatic car wash to restore some shine and polish.

The main problem I have with an automatic car wash is not just that you don’t get armor all or interior vacuuming, it is the lack of any true car wax. If you’ve ever gone to one you know what i’m talking about.

The car wash sprays on pretty colored foam and calls this “hot foam wax”. It then sprays this off with some more scouring high-pressure water. I’m not sure what kind of wax can be sprayed on your vehicle, left for a few seconds and then scoured completely off by high-pressure water and still actually work. If there is such a product, please let me know as i’m exceedingly lazy and would love to use it.

In the mean time i’d advise picking up traditional wax and other products such as interior leather cleaner from LanesCarProducts.Com. Once I get my hands on some real products I can clean off the streaks these automatic car washes leave on my beautiful new car!
