Ok so that statement is a bit extreme, but I did find the blog Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Pickles to have one of the best titles for a blog i’ve seen. The problem is, the blog is focusing on low-carb foods and dieting knowledge, but the blog title really makes me hungry!
I can’t tell you how much I love a good grilled cheese sandwich, but there is nothing healthy about the way I make it with lots of butter on the bread and good thick slices of cheese.
I actually got hooked reading about the KimKins controversy on this blog and the ones that the author links to. It does seem like a lot of people were scammed into doing some extremely unhealthy dieting habits! Getting so few calories a day is definitely dangerous and bad for your health. I’m a guy so dieting is not as ingrained into our self-image by society I guess, but I am trying to lose some weight. I guess the plan i’m following is more weight watcher’s since I just eat lean cuisine, smart ones and healthy choice meals for lunch and dinner and skim milk / raisin bran for breakfast. I’ve lost 30lbs in about 4 months so far and can still eat out / splurge occasionally.
I think the real key to any good diet is to not do something that you can’t live with doing. If the diet requires such a drastic change in eating habits that it is untenable, it’s not going to work for you in the long run.
