The Random Forest

April 17th, 2008 · No Comments

I was browsing around Social Sparks today and found an interesting blog called The Random Forest.

One of the things I like about Forest’s site is that he does not have a huge amount of ads on the site and keeps it fairly clean.  That ads are in unobtrusive locations and he makes good use of affiliate links which are a good way to keep advertising in context and relevant.

I also was reading his posts about online DVD rental companies and would highly recommend NetFlix as it has been my addiction for the past few weeks!  I am doing the 4 at a time unlimited rentals per month plan for about $25/month.  I do not know if they handle Canada or not though!

If they do handle Canada, i’m sure Forest would love them as they have a massive selection of DVDs and this awesome rating and selection system that helps figure out what you like and suggest new things to you.  After a while Netflix figured out that I like British TV so they added that as a section on my favorites home page and now i’ve been enjoying Dr. Who, Torchwood, Wire in the Blood and many other BBC Dramas.
