It always brings to the forefront one’s own sense of mortality when someone not much older than you passes away. Heath Ledger was only 28 years old and was found dead today in his apartment according to the breaking news websites.
I know it may seem callous, but I hope he finished his scenes as Joker in Batman Dark Knight, so at least he will (hopefully) have one last great film for us to remember him by. I am a huge fan of the first movie and had high hopes for the second. It is due out in July so I don’t know if post production would be nearly done on the film yet or not. Supposedly his portrayal of the Joker was going to be a great one and the trailers seemed to belie that sentiment.
Rumors are circulating already that there were pills found next to the body and it may be drug-related, other sites have said it was a heart attack. I have linked to the Wikipedia page for Heath as it should be updating rapidly as more information is known in the next few days.
Rest in Peace, Heath. April 4, 1979 - January 22nd, 2008.

He went into cardiac arrest about the time his masseuse showed up and the housekeeper and they both discovered him. He had pneumonia before he died, and supposedly the pills were for that, and he accidentally took too many, maybe had a bad reaction with alcohol, or who knows what.
It’s crazy to think he was only 28, 3 years older than us, about. I couldn’t bring myself to blog about it. I didn’t really think I had anything to add and most people will probably read or hear about it somewhere. Maybe tomorrow I’ll write something, like my favorite Heath Ledger moment from one of his movies as a tribute or something.
