NFL - the Chargers-Patriots Game

January 20th, 2008 · No Comments

I am an avid Carolina Panthers fan, but given the fact that our season was pretty terrible (we went through 4 quarterbacks this season due to injuries!), I have to find someone else to cheer for during the post-season.

After a long bit of thinking about this, I have decided to root for the team known as “Not the Patriots”.  This team will consist of any of the other 31 teams in the NFL, that are not named “New England Patriots”.  The reason I do this is that I don’t think the New England Patriots deserve any bit of football history, they have a history of cheating and after having watched some of their games this year where they almost lost, there seems to be some bias from the refs in their favor.  Even if there isn’t bias in their favor, many of their players play extremely dirty, such as Rodney Harrison.  They are constantly committing personal fouls, facemasks etc and get away with it half the time.  The New England Patriots are NOT a team known for sportsmanlike conduct.

So, my hopes for today’s game at 3 p.m.:

Chargers: 28

Patriots: 24
